Accessing your Facebook or Twitter account on your mobile phone is pretty commonplace these days. The apps that allow you to do this are some of the most popular cellphone accessories, right up there with Motorola Bluetooth headsets. If you are concerned about your privacy, however, or just want a change from the norm, there are some other cellphone accessories that may do you good. Here is a list of the top 3 social network alternatives to Facebook.
1. Instagram: This is a photo sharing network that leads cellphone accessories in photo editing. The result? Your pictures look clearer and better than they would on any other social network (and you can upload to the others when you’re done).
2. Path: If you don’t like broadcasting photos of your bachelorette party all over Facebook, Path is a better choice. Without status updates you can choose who sees your photos more easily and more privately.
3. Ping: This service works through iTunes and allows you to like whatever your friends are listening to. You can connect to followers via Twitter, but not Facebook. Another con is that if music like AC/DC isn’t sold through iTunes, you can’t talk about it.
So if you’ve been wondering what to do in place of Facebook’s overwhelming dominance on the social network market, you at least have some cellphone accessories to play with in the meantime.
