Should You Get a Verizon iPhone?
A couple of weeks ago we wrote about the upcoming Verizon iPhone, and some of the cellphone accessories you should make sure you have for it. Since the announcement, the phone has been both lauded and criticized — here are a few reasons you might want to hold off on it:
A new 4G model is probably due out in June. Think about it — if you go ahead and buy a Verizon iPhone now, and then five months later a brand-new model comes out (which will probably be missing the inevitable bugs the first model will have), you’re probably not going to be very pleased. Unless you’re willing to shell out the full price for the phone — and new cellphone accessories — in five months, be patient and wait ’til June.
The Verizon iPhone is supposed to be slower than AT&T’s. If there is in fact a new 4G model to be released in June, the new design will probably fix this.
AT&T is probably going to have a pretty good counter-offer. The iPhone is their primary source of new customers, and they’re set to lose a lot of business to Verizon, which, granted, is supposed to have a less costly plan. They’ll most likely do what they can to keep those customers and continue raking in new business.
