More Holiday Gift Ideas From Cell Xpo
Last week we suggested some electronic gift ideas for Christmas. This week we’re going to take a look at webcams. Webcams are a great way to keep in touch with family and friends you don’t get to visit with often. Cell Xpo, which also offers a fine selection of Bluetooth headsets and other cellphone accessories, has a wide variety of webcams. Let’s compare two of them: The Logitech 2.0MP Quickcam HD Webcam and The Logitech Quickcam Orbit AF 2MP HD Motorized Webcam. For the sake of simplicity we’ll call them Webcam #1 and Webcam #2, named and pictured respectively.
Webcams #1 and #2 share many of the same features: Carl Zeiss® optics with autofocus lens system, high-definition video (up to 1600 X 1200* HD quality), up to 8-megapixel photos (enhanced from native 2MP sensor), up to 30-frames-per-second video, a microphone with Logitech® RightSound™ technology, Logitech® webcam software (including Logitech® Video Effects™: fun filters, avatars, video masks, and face accessories).
However, Webcam #2 might be more desirable, as has motorized tracking (189 degrees horizontal and 102 degrees vertical). It also has a color depth of 24-bit true color. Webcam #1, on the other hand, is $40 less than Webcam #2, so if price is your main factor, #1 is probably more up your alley.
