Cellphone Accessories to Play Catchup
For those of you thinking about which Motorola Bluetooth headsets to buy, here’s another topic of conversation. President Obama is calling for a nationwide wireless network for social safety. This $10.7 billion commitment will help areas like Montana, the Dakotas, and Wyoming take advantage of wireless technology. This also comes at a time when the people of these states finally get access to the iPhone after nearly four years of being without it.
Although Republicans may prove to be an obstacle to his spending plan, Mr. Obama is suggesting that pieces of the radio spectrum be sold to businesses in order to raise $27.8 billion over the next 10 years.
In the meanwhile, tech giants H.P. and Nokia are trying to get in on the wireless action. H.P. just released the TouchPad tablet along with two smartphones and accompanying cellphone accessories. Nokia’s earnings, down ten percent to 28 from a year ago, led it to join Microsoft, which will help both the technology giant and the once powerful cellphone accessories maker. Using the Windows technology as their platform, you can expect Nokia phones to be as popular as they once were.
The question is can these companies and our country keep up with the rest of the world rate of production?

AT&T vs. Verizon: Battle of Cellphone Accessories
This is a new decade. You want to be able to dial your mother without getting cut off or having to try twice. Well, since the iPhone came out last week, let’s talk about who gets the best service.
According to David Pogue of the New York Times, Verizon has more bars in more places. And pretty soon, they’ll charge for data according to how much you use, not the flat fee that they’ve had so far. But because there are two different networks in the U.S., G.S.M. (used by AT&T and T-Mobile) and C.D.M.A. (used by Verizon and Sprint) there are a couple of small differences that might make you think twice about switching to Verizon.
C.D.M.A. splits text messages into 160 character chunks. That can be annoying. You can’t talk while online. So if you’re in a 3G area, you will be kicked offline and your call will take precedence. You will be helped back when you’re done with the call. And if you’re abroad, most countries won’t accomodate your iPhone. And the ringer switch has moved slightly so you will have to buy Verizon specific cellphone accessories.
Other than that, feel free to start buying cellphone accessories for Verizon. A case, bluetooth headsets, and a charger and you’ll be ready to go.

Accessing your Facebook or Twitter account on your mobile phone is pretty commonplace these days. The apps that allow you to do this are some of the most popular cellphone accessories, right up there with Motorola Bluetooth headsets. If you are concerned about your privacy, however, or just want a change from the norm, there are some other cellphone accessories that may do you good. Should You Get a Verizon iPhone?
A couple of weeks ago we wrote about the upcoming Verizon iPhone, and some of the cellphone accessories you should make sure you have for it. Since the announcement, the phone has been both lauded and criticized — here are a few reasons you might want to hold off on it:
A new 4G model is probably due out in June. Think about it — if you go ahead and buy a Verizon iPhone now, and then five months later a brand-new model comes out (which will probably be missing the inevitable bugs the first model will have), you’re probably not going to be very pleased. Unless you’re willing to shell out the full price for the phone — and new cellphone accessories — in five months, be patient and wait ’til June.
The Verizon iPhone is supposed to be slower than AT&T’s. If there is in fact a new 4G model to be released in June, the new design will probably fix this.
AT&T is probably going to have a pretty good counter-offer. The iPhone is their primary source of new customers, and they’re set to lose a lot of business to Verizon, which, granted, is supposed to have a less costly plan. They’ll most likely do what they can to keep those customers and continue raking in new business.

Returns and Cancellations at CellXpo
Though we’re sure that you’ll be happy with any CellXpo purchase you make, we’re going to outline their cancellation and return policies below in case you decide you’re not happy with your selection.
First of all, before you complete the transaction, make certain that you do indeed want the Bluetooth headset, cellphone accessory or other item you plan to order. We can cancel orders within the first hour after they’ve been placed, but after that it’s difficult due to a high sales volume. To request a cancellation, e-mail: custserv@cellxpo.com. We will try our best to cancel the order, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to depending upon where the order is at in the credit approval, pick and ship processes.
As for returns, all our Bluetooth headset sales are final. If you purchase a non-Bluetooth item and you want to return it, the return must be authorized by a CellXpo agent. Keep in mind that if the product is damaged, you may issue a complaint, but it must be done at the time of delivery. Also, the buyer is responsible for return shipping charges, and must use the original packaging. Returns must be received within 7 days of delivery, no exceptions. There will also be a 25% restocking fee.

Verizon iPhone Announced!
Just this morning, Verizon announced that on February 10 it will release its version of the iPhone. This is great news for Verizon customers who have been dying to own an iPhone but didn’t want to switch to AT&T. For all you readers who fit into this category, we’ve compiled a list of the cellphone accessories you should buy when you get it:
1. A case and/or screen protector. iPhones, like any phone, really, are fragile. They’re prone to marks and scratches, and good luck if you drop them. Protect your new iPhone from damage with a good sturdy case and a screen protector. If you absolutely hate the idea of a case, at the very least go with the screen protector — and try to avoid a case of butterfingers.
2. A bluetooth headset. We’ve stressed the importance of having a bluetooth headset from day one on this blog, and we will continue to stress it today. Bluetooth headsets are convenient, and more importantly, they’re safe. They help prevent you from dividing your attention up in too many directions, whether you’re driving or just crossing the street.
3. An extra charger. This might seem frivolous, but having an extra charger handy can save you a lot of trouble. Keep one at home and carry one around with you in case you find yourself unable to get home when your battery’s dying.
